The Aster 22 combines classical styling with a crisp, mellow tone that is rarely encountered on 22 strings lever harp, a round-backed harp where all strings are fitted with reliable semi-tone levers and using nylon-strung note range from A6 to A3, sturdily constructed from Beech or Ash it comes with four removable legs for increased portability and a more comfortable playing position. At only 7kg and supplied with a padded travel bag and a choice of finishes and decorations the Aster 22 is an excellent and affordable small harp.

Sharping Levers:Flip-up accurate and adjustable Steel Sharping Levers with color caps (red for C and blue for F) as standard. These levers have good functionality using two points of contact for the lower and mid-range strings. This allows for the best string tonality when engaged. The base is made of steel for strength and rigidity, and the brown plastic handles having colored caps for easy identification. The resting pins on the levers are adjustable for regulation and to accommodate different string sizes and harp designs. Excellent levers at a very competitive price. This is an amazing development by Mikel Celtic Instruments to the Harp World.

Natural, Black, Green, White, and Blue. These are standard colors at the standard prices. We shall be happy to make custom colors on your demand. Custom color charges maybe apply. Whatever color you desire is possible.

The Deluxe Carry bags are made from high-quality Cordura. With 10 mm hard foam padding interior and 3 mm soft foam padded exterior. The released a new version of Essential Flute. This new version has been improved yet again by the addition of a choke point in the flute bore. This bore manipulation has created a delightful feel of compression in the flute, very much akin to the conical bore flutes favored by many players, giving the familiar back-pressure and punch. An added bonus is that it allows for the widening of the lowest finger hole (always the weakest note on any open hole flute), bringing greater strength of tone to match the rest of the scale.

The solid Lyre Harp Rosewood body lends itself to the soft gentle curves of this eight-string lyre. The eight metal strings provide a classical sound that is enhanced by the lacewood soundboard. When you are not playing, you can hang it up as a piece of art; it’s that pretty. Tuning tool is included. Hold it upright on your lap or as you walk, and pluck both sides of the strings. Or lay it flat and pluck it. 10 inches wide by 17 inches long, 2.75 inches deep. There are a few suggestions for tuning.
An authentic tuning derived from Judaic worship music, where the instrument was used to accompany the singing of the Chazzan, also known as a Cantor. This style of tuning uses the Chazzanut mode.
Starting with the bass (largest strings) tune as follows: E F G# A B C D E (Ahava Raba mode)
In the early Middle Ages in Eastern Europe, the secularization of the Jewish worship music gave rise to Klezmer music. Jewish troubadours, known as klezmorim gave the music a place at weddings and other simkhes (joyful events). The Klezmer music eventually blended with Slavonic, Greek, Turkish, Gypsy, and even American jazz tempos and rhythms. For Klezmer music try the Misheberakh mode which is: E F# G A# B C# D E
Two alternative tunings that work well with singers comfortable sing in the Key of G are (again bass to treble): E F# G A B C D E (Natural minor) and D E F# G A B C D (E is tonic). Notice, in the second tuning, all the notes are the same but you’re starting on D rather than E. Includes tuning tool.
